PLS Check Cashing Store in Boston, Massachusetts

This is my favorite place to buy money orders I stopped on the morning of July 14th 2019 to buy a money order and somehow I made a mistake in the cash and there was an extra $40 but the girl working her name was Latisha gave it back to me very honest of her thank you Latisha. The only thing I don't like about this place is that they stop selling money orders at 11 p.m. without writing anything on the outside door so you wouldn't know anything until after standing in the line for a while and you get to the window to be told that they stop selling money orders.

To whom it may concern, I visited the 781 Tremont location in Boston, Massachusetts. I was greeted by a young woman and a "Manager" named Omar. They were having issues with a reconciliation process. At first they were very nice and communicative on the matter. The young woman asked myself and another customer to return in 10 Minutes for a successful service. I made sure to ask the PLS team if I'm able to cash a money order purchased from PLS and how much would it cost. The woman stated " we do cash Money orders and it doesn't cost anything to Cash it. I was please so I waited in my car 15 Minutes. It now 11:30pm. I entered the location and waited in line. Omar called me for assistance. i provided my Driver Licence and money order. He had me sign it and add my phone number. He return and charges me $42.00. i was surprised because 20 minutes before i was told that there was no charge. I explained this to Omar and He became super defensive and combative. I kept quiet and listened to his feedback. I took in all that he had to say. Once he was finish I provided my feedback due to the waste of time and inconvenience. Omar was not having it. He was triggered. He became even more defensive and Combative. He shoved my Id and money order back to me and suggested i deposit it into my bank account. I was very upset on how he managed the situation. I felt attacked and quite frankly disregarded. I provided the ID and Money order back and asked to have it processed at the $42.00 fee. I also requested his name and a transaction reference number so I can provide feedback. He went on to ask me if I wanted it cashed. I continued to hand him my ID and Money Order. He would not cash it unless I verbally answered his question. i gave him a head nod, said yes, and even stood back and gave him time to relax. This only made him more upset. he walked away and refused to offer the PLS service to me. I'm not here looking for a handout, I'm not here looking to get things done free. I'm here to provide feedback and hopefully initiate a training moment for Omar. he's behavior was unethical and unnecessary. He cause a small issue to become something much bigger.I would like a higher manager to address the issue and offer some feedback. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with PLS. Omar ruined my experience using the PLS Services. Thank you for your time.

This is a last resort. Find another way to cash your checks or make sure you have a couple hours to spare cause its always a long process

They dont care about the language barrier. They talk about you right in your face. Very rude . They also talk to much among themselves. Not tending to custumers as they should be doing ! The company needs to hire as many different races as their communication with customers would be far better than it is now!

Came to cash a check, online it says checks can be cashed for 2.25%, when I arrived they wanted 10%, when I said no at that price they suddenly "couldn't verify" my check anymore so I walked down the street and got it cashed without any problem at a different business. Terrible service. 0/10 do not recommend
