The only reason why I gave this place three stars is because of the short lady who wears glasses with the braids because she's personable, professional, polite and friendly. It's a shame that her co-workers aren't like her since they lack every last one of those characteristics. If she didn't work there I would definitely give one star for this review.. People are usually a product of their upbringing.

A little disorganized when it comes to what each window is doing. Like money orders bill pay etc. (Example : Ppl are in one line and they just call out bill pay and expect ppl to hear it and if they do hear it and others don't problems arise because someone might think you're jumping the line) it's always a crowd.but free money orders....I prefer just writing a check myself but hey
My perspective is opposite of the low rating posters here. I've been to this currency exchange a couple of times a year for the last several years; 10-15 times altogether. Maybe the Gary citizenry needs to get out more. Any business that is open 24 hours is a great asset to every individual in the community; especially the elderly, and people working second jobs for the betterment of their families. A business that is open 24/7 in high crime Gary, IN, and provides security at no charge to the customers is an incredible benefit to everyone. In contrast, some years ago, I spent time in Zurich, Switzerland, arguably the financial center of the world at that time, but certainly the city with the highest standard of living in the world. When my American debit card wouldn't work in the ATM's, I sought out any place to get a check cashed or a wire transfer in the middle of the night, but, to no avail. I was waited on by very rude employee who refused to cash my paycheck. I get paid on Fridays but didn't get my check until Saturday I work till late at night so I was unable to take my check to the bank on Saturday. she pretty much accuse me of trying to scam them and asked me all kinds of ridiculous questions that were none of her business. I don't think I've ever been that offended.
