I was told the account was free when I signed up, and was not informed of any inactive fees. Without any notice, my account was fee-ed out and closed. They claimed that my address on file was bad; I had been living there for over 2 years with no problems getting mail, and even if there was an issue with mail - they had my phone number and email address on file which have not changed since I signed up for the account. I received no notice. Just tried to log in one day and I couldn't, when I called I was told my money was gone.
I have been a member of various credit unions since the late 1980s. As a member of IU credit union since 2014, my assessment is that this credit union has become too big to provide adequate customer service. Although the bank tellers are professional and quick when processing, other departments and systems are seriously lacking. Whether responding to my voice messages, or having to connect with mortgage loan originator, it's nearly impossible to communicate if you are not in the union itself. Only to be told you have to come back for a later appointment. Very sad.

I've been a member since I was a child and likely will be for life. I've tried other banks and I have to say IUCU is in a league of their own in terms of services provided. The staff and management have always been so helpful and understanding any time I have an issue with the services.
