Suntrust is now a flipping mess. One fiasco after another results in ME having to take time go into the branch to fix their screw ups. And they have the nerve to charge me for an account. They say the close accounts, they do not. They say they order checks, they do not. They an online chat, it tells you the may respond in 24 to 48 hours. I'm exhausted and over it.
Very rude manager at this branch. I do not recommend suntrust to anyone. Never a smile from the manager and it reflects in her staff. Suntrust please get a new manager and become a better bank you guys can do better.
I would like to express my concern regarding this branch and possible discrimination. On 3/9/3019 I came here as a result of my home Contractor calling me stating that a personal check I wrote him could not be cashed and that branch manager Leah Saunders told him to contact me. I then called the branch in order to get clarification of the issue and after verification of my account I was told my check could still not be cashed as I needed to re sign a signature card and up date my suntrust profile. Knowing that this was not a usual protocol I proceeded to the branch. Ultimately I chose to just do a counter check in order to receive funds. After multiple discussions to include speaking to the Area Manager Scott Mehan over the phone I was told that I could not retrieve my funds because my signatures on my both of my IDs did not match suntrust signature card ( Yes he said they did not match and he was on the phone not personally looking at my IDs and did not ask for another person in the branch to confirm). After coming to the branch in person. Displaying my military ID as well as my License. I have done this in the past before with no issue. After all this frustration I proceeded to another Suntrust Branch right down the street and was able to obtain funds with no issue. I was told that my signature matched both of my IDs. Based on this I will be filing a formal complaint and will be discussing this issue with my attorneys.
Just visited the Woodstock branch. Today is Friday (at lunch) and I was attempting to cash a $50. Check. I asked for 10 new $1. bills and was told that would be unlikely because $1. bills are almost never issued! I was employed by Suntrust for 24 years and retired from the Woodstock branch. The teller came back to the drive-in window and said their system was down and I would have to wait 15 minutes for it to update or go to another branch. This was the lunch hour, the parking lot had no open spots and I was given a story like this. When I was the asst. mgr. at this branch and an AVP as well, we believed in customer service ..... Clearly, that is not the policy at this branch now. I had an appointment elsewhere and had no time to go in to speak to the manager. I am now able to speak about this. I called the manager at 3 PM and was told she had just gone to lunch. I don't believe that! ... I think the above ratings speak for themselves and this is a VERY BAD BRANCH to do business at.
Want to feel like a cockroach with a BIG boot over you? Then move to Suntrust. BUT if you threaten to climb the corporate ladder and not be daunted by the answer they give you (ESPECIALLY the Manila PI answer) you may MAY get the answer you want but you have to state that you will NOT be daunted by them and that you WILL get to the top if you have to climb over dead bodies along the way .... is it worth this for a BANK???
