I LOVE Covington Credit! My experience may be a little different from others, considering I never actually applied directly through the company for a loan. I just one day received a LIVE check in the mail for over $500, and YES there was a higher interest rate BUT, THAT'S BECAUSE IM REBUILDING MY CREDIT & I feel that these loans are for people who have no/bad credit & are actually willing to give everyone a chance and trusting that by sending out LIVE checks that IF whomever does receive one and deposits it into their checking account, are VERY AWARE of all of the interest rates along with any other information that a person would need to know! I have already paid off the 1st loan and even refinanced it for the same amount and once this amt is paid in full I WILL ALREADY QUALIFY FOR AN INCREASE!!! SO I FIND THIS PLACE VERYY HELPFUL BUT ONLY FOR RESPONSIBLE ADULTS WHO HAVE THE ABILITY TO PAY BACK THE LOAN IN FULL & MORE IMPORTANTLY MAKE THE PMTS ON TIME! IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, THEN DON'T GET IT!! SIMPLE AS THAT!! Mrs. Wyatt the office manager was very knowledgeable about the loan process and gave me all the information I needed. But! She was lacking in one place very important to me...hospitality. In my opinion I felt she was rude. I was approved for a loan and asked to bring back some documents, needless to say on my part I did not bring the correct documents. I was very understanding and explained this was the only documentation I had. She told me I should’ve “wasted my gas” coming up here if I didn’t have the correct paper work. I was done by that time, I’m not going to argue or put up with being talked down too. I won’t ever walk in to that establishment or refer anyone there again. Good luck Mrs. Wyatt!!!
My husband got a loan from them and needless to say I was NOT HAPPY with the interest rate when he came home with the paperwork. He borrowed $300 and had a 92% interest rate so $560 is owed back. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD OF A INTEREST RATE THAT HIGH! I could be wrong but that is beyond ridiculous. He said the customer service was good but I would advise anyone if you are going to get a loan check the interest rate first. My interest rate is nowhere near that high on my title loan. I appreciate us getting the loan as I just have birth one month ago and am not being paid while on maternity leave so the money is needed, but that interest rate is beyond crazy. I know one thing, when I go back to work in two weeks, this loan is going to be the first thing paid in full, if we can avoid paying extra money out of our pocket. Good place to get a loan but be careful what you get yourself into. Also you will need five items for collateral, be mindful of that.
