My fiancee has been trying to close her accounts here for 4 months. She has no balance, and we were told she needs to go to a branch in person. We live over 2000 miles away and this is impossible. I don't understand why she can't just notify the credit union via email. IN the meantime this credit union is charging her "service fee's" for not having money in her account. Very poor service. I would recommend checking out a better bank like Ally. Ally has great service.
