I worked for a Credit Union a long time ago. I remember when I first started not knowing the difference between a Credit Union and a Bank. Well there is a difference, a pretty big one. Banks are huge and corporate and love to charge you fees on anything they can get away with. I've had a DVCU account for over 10 years now and i'm about 1/2 way done paying off a personal loan I took out for $10k. I like that they also have a coin machine so I dont have to give up the 8% at a coinstar.
DVCU has been extremely great to me. Even when I was having lots of problems they stood by me the whole time and were really there for me, more so than they should've been by my reasoning. I honestly can't recommend banking here enough.
The accounts are fine. But the small scale bank is apparent with the hours and website. Still a lot of catching up to do with online banking. And the hours are pointless.
Been with them for years, once you start to get recognized they treat you like family.
the worst customer service i have ever had just moved to AZ needed to get a new checking account made us feel unwelcome and she had no time to do her job watch out for the lady with blonde hair by the front doors she made us feel like we were not good enough to be part of the credit union WE LEFT went to another bank they were awesome and had the time to set us up
