A few months ago I visited this location with my mother, who needs help translating. The manager, Isela I remember is her name, was at the window and helped us, she did not want me to translate for my mom so she was dismissive to me and asked my mom to speak to her directly. My mother was able to complete her western union transaction without issues. About a month later my mother went again and she encountered a teller that did not speak Spanish. The manager, a Hispanic woman fluent in Spanish. Saw my mom but did not get up from her desk to help, although both the teller and my mother had trouble communicating. Thankfully she was able to sort things out with the teller and complete her western union transaction. On Tuesday, July 31 my mother visited the branch again. She had a teller that did not speak Spanish and was telling she could not complete her5 transact6ion but could not convey why. The manager sat at her desk and did come offer customer service and help explain what my mother needed in order for her transaction to be completed. That afternoon we returned with paperwork we felt could be what they needed. Granted, things that we had never been asked for and the amount being picked up was not greater than before or from a new person or different place. The teller there was Daniela, she spoke Spanish but said she could not help because the manager was not there to give permission since it was my mothers second time there that day. She called he manager, who wouldn't pick up for about 5 minutes. She told her vaguely about a customer trying to pick up money from a bookstore and right away the manager knew who she was referring to. Told us we needed to bring an invoice to proof what the money we were picking up was for. I told her we would but we needed for her to write down everything she needed because this would be the THIRD time that day my mother ha to go by, if the manager knew it was all my mother needed she could have told her the first time and she could have brought it the second time. I told her what a lack of customer service they had, all while she smirked at my aggravation. As we were leaving she picked up the phone she had set down, where her manager could hear my complaint, she told her never mind, that they could help us this time, next time to make sure we brought an invoice. Yesterday, my mother had another transaction she needed to make and the manager flat out lied to my mother and told her she had been blocked by western union. Isela REFUSED service for no reason. We went to another location and they were able to complete the transaction with no problem. There is a pressing need to train your staff to better service your customers. To not be rude, dismissive, racist to their own race and ultimately to do what they get paid to do.. provide a service! I am in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB for refusal of service, racism and horrendous customer service. Have a great day!
